Marina Seresesky is an Argentinian director, scriptwriter and actress based in Spain. Her first feature film as a director, “LA PUERTA ABIERTA” premiered on September 2nd 2016 in Spanish theatres. The film holds two 2017 Goya Awards nominations. The film has also obtanied more than 25 prices from festivals all over the world, such as Best Screenplay at Guadalajara FICG (Mexico), Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Actress at Alicante Film Festival, Audience’s Choice Award at Transilvania International Film Festival (Romania), Best Screenplay and Audience’s Choice Award at Antalya International Film Festival (Turkey), and the European Jury’s Grand Prize at Mons International Film Festival (Belgium).
Her last short film, “THE WEDDING”, was nominated to the 2013 Goya Award for Best Short Film, apart from a large list of prizes both national and international. In 2012 the documentary “MADRES, 0’15 EL MINUTO”, was awarded the Biznaga de Plata at the 14th Malaga Spanish Film Festival. She has obtained more than 120 prizes for “EL CORTEJO” both in Spain and abroad, after being preselected for Best Short Film at the 2011 Goya Awards.
In 2009 his short film “L´ULTIMA OPPORTUNITTÀ” received the awards for Best Screenplay and Best Short Film at the Ciudad Real Film Festival.
