Olfa graduated in Theater from the ENAT. She also studied dramatic arts at the Harvard Extension School and in parallel she studied the script specialty at Emerson College in Boston, a profession she now performs professionally next to acting.
She started her acting career in 2004 participating in several novels and plays in France and Mexico. Since then he has worked in more than 15 professional theater productions. In cinema she began her career in 2006, with the feature film Así del precipicio, directed and written by Teresa Suarez.
After some years of her work focused solely on theater between NYC, Boston, Mexico and France, in 2015 she returned to television and film in Mexico and Latin America participating in programs such as Water Crashers, Señorita Pólvora, Juana Inés, Paquita la del Barrio (series of which is also a scriptwriter), the foreign films Water Lola (Spain / Mexico) where she performed the main role and the film Gringo (USA) with Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfried, directed by Nash Edgerton.
Since 2015 she has worked as a screenwriter in several Mexican series produced by SONY, TELESET, ARGOS and currently a pre-production project for NETFLIX. Being perfectly polyglot, she has also written scripts for international projects, most recently in LA and Austin, TX, with the audiovisual project Echindalabs, produced by the UMLAUF Museum, in 2015 and 2016. That same year, she began her career as a stage director with her original work of own authorship “De tanto pensar mi corazón se detuvo”, that earned her the international recognition of best work in progress at the international festival FRINGE. To date, she has written several premium series (ex: SELENA for ENDEMOL) broadcast throughout the Americas, as well as several teleseries for Mexico and the United States / Latin America.
At the same time she works on developments and script doctor for film and TV production companies. Her latest projects as a writer consist of 60-chapter TV series (“PAQUITA LA DEL BARRIO”, 2017 NOMINATED TO THE INTERNATIONAL EMMY, “ALEJANDRA GUZMÁN”, 2018, “SELENA”, 2018), as well as the “MexCamGirlz” web series produced by Laredo production and Televisa. She is currently working on a series for NETFLIX produced by MR. WOO and now in preproduction, planned for 2019/2020 as well as in several developments of series and a film planned for international transmission for the Spanish speaking market in 2019.
