Patricio Saiz

Patricio has written fiction features such as Nostros los Nobles, La ultima muerte, El efecto Tequila and the documentary feature Carriere 250 metros, co-written with the legendary screenwriter Jean-Claude Carrière.

For TV he has written screenplays for the series Pacientes, 13 miedos, Cloroformo, Los héroes del norte, Run Coyote Run, Kin and Terminales, which was adapted by ABC under the name Chasing Life. He was also an advisor for the series Logout and he collaborated on several TV documentaries for Discovery Channel, Canal Once and TV UNAM. Patricio has also been a co-producer of the films Todos los días son tuyos, El brindis and Acné.

For a decade he has taught at different film schools such as CCC (Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica in Mexico), CUEC (Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos in Mexico), EICTV de San Antonio de los Baños (in Cuba), Universidad Panamericana, Universidad Anáhuac del Sur (in Mexico), among others. As a script advisor he has worked in several projects in Mexico, Chile and Colombia. He has also been a member of the jury of the EFICINE grant awarded by the Mexican Film Institute and the First Feature grant awarded by the CCC.

He is currently developing three projects: Riding to the Light, directed by Fernando Lebrija; El día del temblor, directed by Kuno Becker and Mortem, directed by Dan Carrillo, as well as the script for Niñas mal 2.
