Raúl Martínez

Born into a family of mexican cinema pioneers, since 17 Raúl started his career on film production. For 29 years he has worked in commercials, music videos, short films, documentaries and fiction features.

A graduate from the Tisch School of the Arts at the New York University and the UCLA, he is specially focused on directing and editing advertising spots.

He has directed commercials for clients such as Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, McDonald’s, Disney Channel, Samsung Electronics, PepsiCo, Kellogg’s, Subway, TV Azteca, Burger King, Televisa, Liverpool, Seat, Iusacell, among others.

His works as an advertising director and editor have been awarded at festivals such as Circulo de Oro, FIAP, AHAA, among others. In 2007 he works as an editor for the film Malos hábitos by Simón Bross. Later, in 2015, he directs the web series Camino de estupideces for YouTube. In early 2016 Raúl directed his first feature film: Un padre no tan padre, which was premiered later that year. Also in 2016 he gets to direct an episode of the series Érase una vez, available in Mexico through Blim.

Currently he has 2 projects in development.
